JAMES R. MENDILLO

James R. Mendillo received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven (CT) in 1969, and his J.D. degree from Washington University Law School in 1972.

 

While at Washington University, he was an editor of the Law Quarterly. He was employed as a staff law clerk in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in St. Louis, Missouri, from 1972-1976, working for Chief Judges Marion C. Matthes and William H. Webster

 

Mr. Mendillo is licensed to practice law in the states of Illinois and Missouri. 

 

Mr. Mendillo has been a member of Freeark, Harvey & Mendillo, P.C., since 1974 and has tried civil lawsuits for both plaintiffs and defendants. His cases have included: automobile accidents; products liability; legal, dental and medical malpractice; employment discrimination; construction accidents; bad faith insurance cases; railroad crossing cases; as well as federal tort claims and domestic relations cases.

 

Mr. Mendillo is also a trained mediator and has mediated and arbitrated in excess of 100

cases.
 

Mr. Mendillo is a past president of the St. Clair County Bar Association and a past president of St. Clair Country Club. He is a former board member of Call for Help Foundation and is currently Gair of the Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission.
