Joel D. Beckwith received his B.A degree in Philosophy from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville in 2009, and his J.D. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2013.  While attending law school he completed a one year externship practicing in the public defender's office in Williamson County, IL.  During his final year of law school, his commentary was published in the Journal of Legal Medicine.  Mr. Beckwith is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Missouri, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

 

Mr. Beckwith has been an associate at Freeark , Harvey, & Mendillo since 2017.  He has participated in civil litigation for automobile injury cases, slip and falls, medical malpractice, discrimination, and workers compensation cases.  He has also litigated federal injury claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act.

 

Mr. Beckwith is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Illinois State Bar Association, and is also a PADI licensed scuba diver.
