Michael P. Murphy received his B.S.B.A. with a major in Accounting from Creighton University in 1986, and his J.D. degree from University of Missouri-Columbia Law School in 1989.

 

While at University of Missouri, he was a member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution. Following graduation from Law School, Mr. Murphy worked as a tax staff member at Deloitte & Touche.

Mr. Murphy has been a member of Freeark, Harvey & Mendillo, P.C., since 1991 and has tried civil lawsuits for both plaintiffs and defendants, His cases have included automobile accidents; premises liability; products liability; legal malpractice; medical malpractice; ATV accidents; and wrongful death accidents.

 

In a recent twelve month period. Mr. Murphy tried six civil lawsuits. The total demanded in those cases by the plaintiffs was over $3.25 million dollars and the total awarded was $157,000. Mr. Murphy has also tried or arbitrated over 60 cases to verdicts or awards.
